Benetton Method Ltd., commonly referred to merely as Benetton, was a Formula 1 constructor that participated by 1986 to 2001. The team was owned from the Benetton family who run an internationally chain of clothing stores on the same name. In 2000 the workforce was purchased by Renault, but competed as Benetton for that 2000 and 2001 times. In 2002 the crew became Renault F1.The Benetton Group entered Formula One to be a sponsor company for Tyrrell within 1983, then Alfa Romeo throughout 1984 and 1985 and finally Toleman in 1985.
