Zündapp was a major German motorcycle manufacturer created in 1917 in Nuremberg by Fritz Neumeyer, together with the Friedrich Krupp AG plus the machine tool manufacturer Thiel within the name "Zünder- und Apparatebau H. m. b. After the bankruptcy, the entire production brand and intellectual properties ended up being bought by Xunda Powerplant Co., Tianjin, China. They produced small Zündapp cycles from 1987 till early 1990s.
