Zündapp was an essential German motorcycle manufacturer created in 1917 in Nuremberg simply by Fritz Neumeyer, together with the Friedrich Krupp AG and also the machine tool manufacturer Thiel beneath name "Zünder- und Apparatebau Gary. m. b. The initial Zündapp motorcycle was the model Z22 in 1921. This was the Motorrad für Jedermann ("motorcycle pertaining to everyone"), a simple, reliable design that was produced in large series. Zündapp's history of hefty motorcycles began in 1933 with all the K-series. The "K" refers to any type of drivetrain that these products used, Kardanantrieb, meaning enclosed driveshaft using two universal joints. Zündapp introduced the enclosed crankcase (a novelty). The series encompassed designs from 200 to eight hundred cc displacement and was a major success, increasing Zündapp's market talk about in Germany from 5% throughout 1931 to 18% with 1937.The Zündapp KS600, first released in 1938, had a 28 horsepower (21 kW) flat opposed twin cylinder powerplant with overhead valves displacing 597 closed circuit (36. 4 cu in). Following bankruptcy, the entire production collection and intellectual properties had been bought by Xunda Engine Co., Tianjin, China. They produced small Zündapp bicycles from 1987 till the first 1990s. Zündapp is still operating, but makes Honda based 4-stroke motorcycles and energy mopeds.Zündapp also had any technical collaboration with Noble Enfield (India) to construct mopeds and motorcycles. A dedicated factory was built at Ranipet near Chennai from the early 1980s to production small, lightweight two-stroke motorcycles to be offered with their flagship Royal Enfield Round. Enfield launched two 50 cc motorcycles first, the step-thru Silver Plus along with the 3-speed Explorer motorcycle. Later, 175 cc Enfield Fury (according to Zündapp KS175) was introduced as a performance motorcycle. It had 5-speed gearbox, a hydraulic Brembo disc brake plus a sleeveless hard chromed canister barrel, all were a first on a motorcycle in that country.
